I’d like to believe that I’ve always been active at some level. From age 4 to 8, I danced and played soccer. By 4th grade, I had to decide between the two sports, for the next 10 years I played competitive soccer where I developed my quads and also a love for feeling fit. My college and early adult years were only met with occasional trips to the gym, keeping to myself on the treadmill, elliptical and a few group aerobic classes. I attempted water aerobics when I was in the later stages of my twin pregnancy because that’s about all I could muster the energy for. I moved to Inkom in 2013 and began running and ditched the 60 extra pounds of stroller and toddlers. Running and road biking got me 10 lbs lighter but I knew there was something missing. I joined the local gym, then known as Solomon Training Systems, and found a new love for lifting. I joined the STS coaching staff in 2017, learning and loving every day. In 2022 I purchased the gym and rebranded to Peak Fitness. Favorite food: when I asked my kids what they thought, they answered ‘water’. Ice cold water is in fact about the only thing on a non existent ‘favorites’ list. I don’t pick favorites, I’m an equal opportunity food eater….just no seafood please. Favorite movie: Does my current Netflix obsession count? I usually watch an episode of my show, get through the series and start something new. I’m so boring. I can’t stand: when my life gets so discombobulated that I don’t know where to start to get it back under control. I literally walk around in circles in my house deciding what has priority; cleanliness, feeding my family, laundry, exercise. My Type A brain struggles, so I go take a nap, that usually gets the most done.

I Love all things health and fitness and I enjoy being active one of my favorite quotes is “a body in motion, stays in motion” I took to running after participating in cross country in high school and I have been a runner ever since, it wasn’t until I was in college that I started lifting but it didn’t take me long to decide that it was a thing I wanted to do forever, I took a lot of fitness courses in college but it wasn’t something that was a career option at that time I continued to stay active and was eager to join STS after moving to Inkom I’m delighted to be a part of the STS team. I am thrilled to be able to live an active lifestyle and share my passion with others along the way.
FAVORITE FOOD: Surf n turf I love anything steak and seafood
FAVORITE MOVIE:
My favorite movie has always been and will always be Super Troopers I seriously laugh so hard every-time I watch it no matter how many times I have seen it
I CANT STAND: Repeating myself because someone wasn’t listening, I am gonna add curse words if I have to say it again.
I SHOULDN’T SAY THIS OUT LOUD: What? There are things that shouldn’t be said out loud?

I have always loved to be active. I played sports at a young age and that continued on into high school sports. In college, I played in intramural leagues just for fun (even if my flag football game was at 11:30pm). I signed up for step aerobics and snowboarding for college credits. I love to exercise!! As a mother of four children now, exercise is crucial to keep up with them. I have discovered that I am a grumpy mama bear if I don’t move my body. I need exercise in my life! We have a pretty complete gym at home, but a few years ago I started to notice my workouts were less intense. I would slack off and give up early on my exercise plan for the day. A few friends suggested I just try out STS for a week and I loved it right from the beginning!! I joined and have never regretted it. Now known as Peak Fitness, this place has a different feel to it than your regular gym. It’s a place I come to see my friends and where everyone knows your name (cue the song to Cheers). I love being a coach and working with the members. They are there to work and better their lives. They are inspiring.
Favorite food: I LOVE shrimp!! Shrimp scampi, coconut shrimp, popcorn shrimp, garlic shrimp… I could have written Bubba Gump’s
lines in the movie, Forrest Gump. I am also a huge fan of Mexican food. Also a huge fan of a nice, chewy brownie… or a nice, warm homemade roll…I could go on and on. I love me some food!!
Favorite movie: anything with Chris in it. Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pine, Chris Pratt… I’m surprised I didn’t name my first born Chris. But what gets turned on EVERY single night… The Office. We can quote every line of every show. We are addicted. Michael Scott would be my best friend. I know it.
I can’t stand: when people don’t replace the toilet paper!! Come on people! Even in a public restroom… do the right thing and tell the workers it’s gone. We should all be helping out our fellow humans have a great potty experience. Don’t leave them hanging.
I shouldn’t say this out loud: I secretly am terrified of most animals. What are they thinking? Are they out to get me?? I live in the country… and I don’t love animals. Please don’t tell anyone
I have spent most of my life working as a diesel mechanic on heavy equipment. From this I have worn out parts of my body. At one time in my life I had become out of shape and lacked mobility in basic movements. My wife persuaded me to join the gym. As I was working to get back in shape, I started taking yoga classes. I found through exercise and yoga I was able to feel and move like I was back in my 20s. You could say that I've become a stretch junky, I really like restorative yoga. Some of the other things that I have learned in my journey of yoga is the importance of meditation, with this I have become more attuned with my body so I can prevent injuries, and think clearer. By maintaining my body through exercise and yoga I have also learned that I would rather pay for a gym than pay for a doctor.
I live on a farm outside of Inkom with a wife and 4 amazing children. I like to build and design things, camp, paddle board, kayak, bike and enjoy winter sports. My favorite all time movie is Lord of the Rings. I love to travel and the best part of that is trying all the different kinds of foods, so basically I’ll eat anything and I’m not afraid to try something new.
Things I’m not real fond of is negativity and contention.
